Before you fly
Everything to tick off before the airport.
A trip rarely fails on the big things — it fails on the passport page, the card block, the missing print-out. Work through this once and none of them will be yours.

Documents & visa
- Passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date, with two blank pages
- Visa granted (or e-Visa / ETA approval printed and saved on your phone)
- Printed and digital copies of tickets, hotel bookings and the visa
- Photocopies of passport and ID kept separately from the originals

Money & forex
- Foreign currency for arrival, plus a prepaid travel card or international card
- Bank and card provider informed of travel dates to avoid blocks
- A little local currency for transport and tips on landing

Insurance & health
- Travel insurance policy issued, with the emergency number saved
- Any required vaccinations and a basic medical kit
- Prescription medicines in original packaging, with a doctor’s note if needed

Bookings & connectivity
- Airport transfers and onward transport confirmed
- Web check-in done and seats selected
- Roaming pack or a travel eSIM sorted

Packing
- Weather-appropriate clothing and universal power adapter
- Chargers, power bank and headphones in the cabin bag
- Liquids within cabin limits; valuables and documents in hand luggage

The final 24 hours
- Re-confirm flight timing and terminal
- Share your itinerary with someone at home
- Leave for the airport with time to spare — three hours for international
